Barack Obama
A lot of good candidates are running to become the next pre-
sident of the United States. I think that Barack Obama is a good can-
didate, and should be elect the next president.
Barack Obama was born on August 4,1961 in Honolulu, Hawii.
His parents were Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham. They meet
while they were attending the University of Hawii at Manoa. Barack
Obama graduated from Columbia University and Harvard Law Sch-
ool. He was unsuccessful in getting a seat in the House of Repres-
entatives in 2000. He launched his campaign for U.S. Senate in
2003.
On February 2007 announced his candidacy for the 2008 U.S.
presidential election. Barack's campaign raised $58 million during
2007. He got married in 1992 and had two kids. He wrote two best-
sellingbooks. The first book was ''Dreams from My Father'' was pub-
lished after he graduation from Law School. The second book ''The
Audacity of Hope'' was published in October 2007.
In 2003 Obama began his run for the U.S. Senate open seat
vacated by Peter Fitzgerald.Obama received over 52 percent of the
vote in the March 2004 primary. In November 2004 Barack received
70 percent of the vote. It was the largest electoral victory in Illinois
history. Barack was sworn in as a Senator on January 4,2005.
Barack Obama is a very good candidate to become the next
president. On February 2007 announced his candidacy for the 2008
U.S. presidential election.
